Community Guidelines

In order to keep the CFF a positive, fun, and wholesome place we have a set of guidelines that govern our community. Participation in chatrooms, meeting places, services, and the ability to make use of or contribute to our programs are contingent upon acceptance of and compliance with the below guidelines. Any and all participation in the CFF implies that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the community guidelines.

"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. [...] Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law." - Romans 12:16, Romans 13:8.

Respect The Moderators. Respect One Another.

We as Christians are called to live to a higher standard, remembering the God who redeemed us and the claim He has on our lives. We are to remember that we are also sinners, chosen by grace and not of ourselves, so that none may boast. Practice humility. (Romans 3:27, Philippians 2:3)

Have good virtual manners

Spamming or engaging in intentionally disruptive behavior is not allowed within the CFF. If a discussion is long past, refrain from gravedigging. If a message is deemed as inflammatory, intentionally baiting, or is a part of a flame war, refrain from responding. Moderators’ will use their discretion in all cases. Avoid disrupting active conversations, even if you came late to the party.

Use Appropriate Language

No profane, crude, or otherwise inappropriate remarks or language, including slurs. This is at the moderator’s discretion. (Galatians 3:28, Ephesians 4:29)

Do not Facilitate Temptation

Do not tempt others or conduct yourself in ways that you know will bring temptation to another member. Private messaging members looking for NSFW content or to solicit sexual interaction will not be tolerated. (Matthew 18:6-8)

Political Topics must be tread carefully

Political topics not directly related to Christianity are not permitted. We are a Christian-centered ministry, so if a political topic in question strays too far from this guiding principle, the discussion should be taken elsewhere. We allow open discussion and debate on other topics. Please conduct all debates in a respectful manner. Remember that the one with whom you disagree probably has their own reasons for believing what they do and that they’re likely as smart as you are.

NSFW Content is Prohibited

NSFW content (that is, material or content that is explicitly sexual or otherwise inappropriate) is not permitted. Even in icons or emojis (or, in the case of Telegram, in sticker packs – even if the sticker used is not NSFW, the sticker will be removed based on the contents of the pack). This includes linking to the content using hyperlinks. Any and all content may be removed at the sole discretion of the moderators. (Romans 14:13-15)

A.I. Content is restricted

The CFF does not expressly prohibit the use of A.I. image generators or LLM (Large Language Models). However, all ‘results’ that A.I. did play a part in making must be restricted to the specific channels OR must feature a disclaimer specifying that A.I. was used (and if applicable, where/how and in what capacity).

It should be noted that while the CFF does not outright prohibit the use of A.I. (or its results), the CFF does promote an ethical use of A.I. and encourages its members to look into the issue themselves with wisdom.

The CFF (as an organization) does not use ‘Artistic’ LLM A.I. Image Generators or other technologies and does not make use of or display A.I.-generated content.

Medical Advice Policies

Concerning medical and/or mental health advice, we believe it is best that chatroom participants, and all internet citizens, receive medical counsel from qualified individuals through established channels (e.g. a doctors office). The CFF does not endorse any medical advice given by any of its participants.

Furthermore, we kindly, but firmly, ask all users to refrain from discouraging others from seeking treatment and/or preventative therapies for any disease. If this request is ignored, the moderation team will use its discretion to determine if intervention is required. As always the moderation team reserves the right to silence or remove anyone who discourages another member from receiving potentially life-saving treatment, therapy, or immunization.

At this time, discussion of the politics and/or government policy around medical topics such as vaccinations or vaccination mandates are off limits for discussion. If anyone has questions about what goes or what does not, please feel free to ask a moderator. If they cannot answer you immediately, they will discuss the question with the rest of the moderators.

Counter Proselytizing: Formal or Informal

While we are a Protestant Christian community, we do welcome people of all faiths.

Participation in CFF activities or discussions is not contingent on confessing our statement of faith or associated creeds. However, by participating in this community, you agree to respect the aforementioned documents and refrain from proselytizing any beliefs that contradict these doctrines. Keep discussions in the open.

Age Requirements

Newcomers to the CFF community are required to be at least 15 years of age. This is because there can be mature topics discussed and we want people to be old enough to participate while also protecting those that are younger and choose to err on the side of caution.

No Alt Accounts

No more than one account per member per platform or service is allowed within the CFF unless explicit permission is first granted. (For example, you may have only one Telegram account and one Discord account, but you can have both the Telegram and Discord accounts as CFF members because each account is specific to a given platform).

No Advertising

Advertising other ministries outside the CFF, such as fundraisers, or professional services (like commissions) without first clearing it with a moderator is not permitted. (Examples include: Posting links, mentioning your group/service, saying “message me for more details” regarding your group/service, and so on).

Panhandling must be Approved

Asking for Money – either be it for Personal Use or for Charity, unless the request is first approved by a Moderator – is not allowed within the CFF.

The Rule of Love

Remember, people come from many different places of life and are at different stages in their journey with Jesus and some don’t even know Him yet. In every interaction with one another, even if you hear things that you disagree with or are new to you, we ask that you are charitable to others.
